This northern Italian region has long made complex, intriguing wines that have too often been overlooked outside of Italy. We seek out the region’s best producers – some famous, others about to be – and we work with them closely on a long-term basis. To support the continuation of the winemaking that happens there, we buy substantial quantities of their wines and age them until they approach maturity and begin to express their full potential. This is something only extra ageing can create, which is why storing wine is at the heart of Nebbia e Luce’s project.
Nebbia e Luce is addressing the increasing shortage of mature wines with excellent provenance that are available in trade quantities . By going about things in this way, we also want to address the increasing problem of speculation within the wine market.
In short, we make mature wines affordable! We do this by selling our wines at the original merchant offer price, plus enough to cover our costs for holding and ageing the wines. We hope you enjoy exploring the producers we work with and seeking out the fruits of their labour.
